When I reattach my 430 loader to the 4300, I have a bear of a timegetting the hoses to reseat. What am I doing wrong?

Are you releiving hydraulic pressure in the lines first? If not, when you have the tractor positioned within the loader ready to mount, shut off the engine and then move the joystick back and forth and then side to side several times each to relieve pressure. Then connect the quick couplers. They should snap into place with little resistance. ....

Every now and again I have the same problem with one hose on my 4200/420. The pressure is built up on the loader side, and moving the joystick will not relieve the pressure. I have to use slip joint pliers (w/ cloth wrapped around so as not to damage the coupling) to press against the center of the male coupling. Watch out, because a big squirt of fluid will follow. Then the fitting will connect with ease. Hope this helps! ....

Releive the pressure in your lines BEFORE you disconnect and remove your loader. It is impossible to have pressure on the loader side in this fashion. ....

Residual pressure in your hyd. lines from the loader is what is making the hyd. line reattachment difficult. BEFORE disconnecting the lines, try to relieve all pressure from the loader. This should take care of the problem - however, if you disconnect the lines when it is cool out, and then try to reconnect them after the ambient temperature has risen substantially (ie, sitting in the sun all day,) you might still have a little resistance reattaching the lines due to fluid thermal expansion. In this case, just push in on the checkvalve on the end of the hose to relieve the pressure -- and they should reattach without any problem. Hope this helps. ....

You should shut the engine off - then operate your hydro control in all positions to bleed pressure from the lines - then make the connection. ....
